SIGNATURE Signed on the rim of the lower element, next to the handle.
INSCRIPTIONS Wood storage box is inscribed on the exterior of the lid: "Box for shikishi (square-shaped calligraphy paper)" on interior of the lid: "Shikishi bako made of bamboo and title "Sunlight Reflecting on Waves."" Also arrived with a large card created by the artist: calligraphed signature of the artist with date "Showa 17 January 3" on one side and loose landscape painting on the other.
